Grotesque Image Mangling Program
It is easier to create a complex image annotation in ImageMagick, FFmpeg or Blender than in GIMP. It may even be less painful to write manual bits and bytes into a JPEG, while doing the Fourier Transform in your head, than to use the GIMP.
